The Challenge

Run the Munros is a multi-stage race where teams of four—two runners and two in a support vehicle—must tackle Scotland's highest peaks.

Stages last two days each, running continuously through the night, with teams deciding how to swap roles and move runners between mountain base drop-offs.

Competitors must reach Munro summits to collect as many checkpoints as possible while navigating challenging mountain terrain.

Fail to complete stages in time and penalties await.

This is a race that rewards clever planning, exceptional fitness and determination.

Difficulty

Skill Level: Advanced. This event requires navigation expertise and the ability to traverse steep, rocky and remote mountain terrain.

Endurance: High. Teams must cover significant distances while summiting multiple Munros over consecutive days, often through rugged conditions.

Conditions: Competitors face Scotland’s unpredictable mountain weather, even in midsummer, alongside significant elevation changes.
